Why join the AALL?

A membership in the AALL is linked to various benefits. Not only will you receive discounts on all events organised by the AALL, you will also be informed about recent job offers, scholarships and studentships in the field of legal linguistics. You will also receive regular updates on the research currently conducted by members of the AALL including information on all AALL events and new AALL services. As a member you will be given access to the AALL contact list and you are welcome to use the AALL library for free. You will also be updated regularly on upcoming conferences and seminars or courses in legal linguistics. Finally, as a member you are entitled to cast your vote at the annual AALL congress.

 

Who can join the AALL?

The Austrian Association for Legal Linguistics welcomes applications…

…from individuals who have completed a degree in law, linguistics or legal linguistics.

…from individuals who will complete a degree in law, linguistics or legal linguistics in the near future.

…from legal entities and corporate bodies.

The review of applications is a matter of the Executive Board.

 

How much do I have to pay for membership?

Membership fees (yearly):

Students: €50 (with valid student ID or confirmation)
Non-students: €100

 

How do I become a member?

____________________________________________________________________________________

Send your CV and a letter of motivation to info@oegrl.com. Your letter of motivation should include the reasons why you would like to join the association and what you can bring to the AALL, and should outline your research interests. A reference or letter of recommendation will also help your application. If you would like to apply for the student membership, please also include a valid confirmation of your current studies.
